Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The least populated and Northern most District of Bhutan, Gasa district was carved out of Punakha district to form a district of its own. It’s bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the North. It has the highest number of Glacier lakes and hosts the highest and remotest villages in the country as well as the highest located school in the world at Lunana. The entirety of Gasa is an environmentally protected zone and the district offers a plenty of Trekking Route. Some of the most popular treks such as the Snow Man trek begins here.
