The Seven Days Cultural Tour

The 7-day culture tour will take you across all the top destinations of Western Bhutan. It's a mix of mild hikes, sightseeing of cultural and historical sites, including tentative UNESCO world heritage sites, taking you through conserved nature reserves. 

You can customize the trip with fun and adventure such as white river rafting, biking, and helicopter tours. This week-long trip will take you across 4 districts and 700 kiometers.

 Day 1

-Arrive at Paro International Airport 

-Drive to Thimphu ( 90 minutes ) sight seeing and photo sessions on the way. 
- Check in at Hotel 

-Sight seeing at Buddha Dordenma (largest sitting Buddha statue ) 

-May visit Changyul park/Memorail Chorten/ Centenary Farmers Market

- Stroll the Capital City’s Main Street 

- Dinner at Hotel ​

Day 2

- Visit the National Takin's Reserve 

- Drive to View Point at Sangay Gang 

- May opt to do the 15 minute Wangditse Hike

Day 3 

-Drive to Punakha (2.1/2 hours including sight seeing)

- Sightseeing at Dochula Pass

- Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Hike (30 minutes hike up) Catch a glimpse of the MoChu (Female) River Valley of Punakha

-May Opt. to Raft down the river and Hop out near Punakha Dzong 

- Visit Punakha Dzong 

- Walk the longest Suspension Bridge in Bhutan over the PhoChu (Male ) River 

-Check in at hotel 

Day 4 

-Early breakfast 

-Visit the Sangchen Dorji Lhundrup Nunnery / Chimi Lhakhang Temple of Fertility 

​-Drive to Phobjikha Valley (3 hours)

​-Experience the Traditional Bhutanese Homestay and may try Hot Stone Bathing 

Day 5

-May opt. To hike the valley after breakfast 

- Visit the Gangtey Monastery

-Drive to Paro ( 4 hours ) 

-Dinner at Paro Hotel 

Day 6

-Hike the Taktshang 

-May opt to visit Tshongdue Town 

Day 7

-Visit the National Museum/ Jangsa Dumtseg Lhakhang / Kipchu Lhakhang / Tshongdue town 

-Departure drop at the airport. 

*The above plan costs USD 190 per person coming in minimum group of 3. The plan includes all meals, travel arrangements and accommodation in a minimum 3 star hotel within Bhutan, service charge for guides, services for visa and monument fees; and does not include flight to Bhutan, tips for services, auxiliary additional services and the daily sustainable development fee and the 40 usd visa fee. 

**adventure and services such as rafting, biking, hot stone baths are popular for tourists and are usually paid for by the tourists, however plans can differ by the number of pax in a group and the travel plan you opt for. Laundry services are offered by all hotels and is recommended to be done on a 2 night stay at the same hotel.
