Thangtong Dewachen Nunnery - Zilukha 

Located at an altitude of 2350 meters above the sea level, the nunnery sits at the backdrop of TashiCho Dzong overlooking it.

History 

The nunnery was built by Drubthob Rikey Jagdrel in the year 1981 who himself was the 16 th reincarnation of Drubthob Thangtong Gyalpo.

At the entrance we can see :-

— A Dharma Pillar with a Golden Vase Base; Atop the pillar are 2 Deers facing a Dharma Wheel. (It represents the buddhas first teaching or turning the wheel of dharma at the deer park in Sarnath, Bihar, India.

— the paintings of Drubthob Thangtong Gyalpo 

- kudung Chorten , stupa housing the remains of Drubthob Rikey Jardel who passed away in 1983.

Inside the main temple we can see :- 

- the main central figure of Thangtong Gyalpo holding a vase .

-Painting of Vajrakilaya 

- Painting of Lama Gondue 

- Painting of Dorji Phagmo / Vajravahi 

-Throne of Drubthob Rikey Jadrel

-Victory and Nirvana Stupa.
